Event description: Maria Squire from the Office of Educational Assessment (OEA) and Tara Hamilton-Fay from the OEA and Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) will be co-hosting a workshop to assist faculty members with linking their course student learning outcomes to the new ICC (Ignatian Core Curriculum) attribute learning outcomes. If you are considering adding an ICC attribute to an existing or new course OR converting an existing course with a GE attribute to an ICC attribute, this workshop will be beneficial for you. Together, Maria and Tara have over 30 years of experience teaching and assessing courses with a GE attribute. We will present an example grid with course SLOs linked to an ICC attribute learning outcomes that also show an example that maps the course assignments to the learning outcomes. After presenting an example grid, both Maria and Tara will be available to help you with any questions that you might have.

If you want to use rubrics as a way to assess student learning in your courses, this workshop will be beneficial for you. We will present an example rubric that will be tied to both course SLOs and a GE/ICC attribute learning outcomes for a particular writing assignment. After presenting the example rubric, Maria will be available to help you with any questions that you might have.
