Carla Enriquez, Ph.D., DPT, OCS

Carla Enriquez, Ph.D., DPT, OCS was named Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences from Trident University International, a Master of Science in Health Sciences from Rutgers University, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers University. Prior to joining the 第一吃瓜网, Dr. Enriquez served as Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Kean University and previously held faculty appointments at Stockton University and Dominican University. She also holds an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University and maintains an active clinical and research portfolio with RWJBarnabas Health, where she serves as Principal Investigator on studies focused on pain neuroscience, rehabilitation outcomes, and precision rehabilitation. A board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Dr. Enriquez's scholarship focuses on chronic musculoskeletal pain, pain neuroscience, quantitative sensory testing, psychosocial determinants of health, health disparities, and precision rehabilitation. Her research examines how psychological, behavioral, and neurophysiological factors interact to influence pain, disability, and treatment outcomes, with the goal of developing individualized, mechanism-informed rehabilitation strategies.
